There is considerable variation in yarn thickness throughout a skein, this is normal and imparts wonderful texture to your knit. Expect the odd knot too – the nature of that which makes them wonderful means that they are not “machined perfect”, they employ considerable hands-on practices and are rustic. This yarn looks great in simple fabrics – stocking stitch and garter stitch are both ideal for it.
